Short summary

Monite is a trailblazer in the embedded finance market. I joined the team as the first designer and was the seventh employee in the company. Since then, the team has grown to 5 people, and I continue to work on core feature creation, testing, process setup, mentoring, and hiring.

Accomplishments

• As a solo designer, laid the foundation for most core products and the company’s design system, working closely with executives and founders.
• Assisted with current design team hiring, from creating job descriptions, sorting candidates, conducting interviews, and reviewing test tasks to onboarding, mentoring, and offboarding.
• Led the design team through a pivot from a traditional SaaS model to a complex API-first product in a rapidly evolving market.
• Hired the core members of the design team.
• Established new standards for design files and processes, drastically improving efficiency and ensuring clear user flows for the entire team, including non-designers.
• Organized the design system and guidelines.
• Developed most of the core product features, from AP and AR solutions to approval policies, accounting integration, e-invoicing, payments, and KYC integration.
